March 15, 2020 – Giving Feedback to Your Chiropractor

Feedback concerning healthcare should center around your care journey and experiences. For example, it is essential to let your chiropractor know how you’re faring at each visit. Be honest and upfront instead of telling your chiropractor only what you think they want to hear. Inform them if your pain is improving or worsening, if you find your daily activities less or more difficult, or if you’ve encountered a new problem.

Also, tell your chiropractor how you feel about the actual treatments. Don’t be afraid to let them know if a treatment is uncomfortable or if you would prefer a gentler approach. Chiropractor therapies are non-invasive and tend to be gentle, but only you truly know your pain tolerance. Plus, pain is subjective, so speak up if you are uncomfortable. Your chiropractor will likely have milder treatments available.

July 15, 2020 – How many of these road trip troubles have you experienced?

The most important thing you can do to prepare is to record any symptoms you’ve been experiencing. Detail the symptom type – pain, numbness, stiffness, etc. Also, make notes on severity and if the symptom is associated with any certain activity or position, like sitting or lying down. Furthermore, note the times of day when your symptoms seem to be the most severe and at their mildest. Be certain to bring all your notes along to your appointment.

Furthermore, honesty is critical. Don’t ever downplay your symptoms or any bad habits you might have. Accurate information is necessary for your chiropractor to devise an appropriate treatment plan. Being less than forthcoming will only hinder your chiropractor’s ability to help you. Chiropractors are concerned with promoting good health, not judging or ridiculing you.
